Books

I bought some recipe books from Singapore recently! Let me share with you some of the recipes! Coleslaw: Ingredients: 600-700 g white cabbage 1 large carrot, peeled and coarsely grated 1 onion, finely sliced 1 1/2 cup coleslaw dressing fresh lemon juice handful chopped fresh parsley Dressing: 1 egg yolk 1 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard 1/3 tbsp sea salt flakes 3/4- 1 cup light olive oil 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice Instructions: Use a sharp knife or mandolin slicer to finely shred the cabbage. Separate the strands by combing ur fingers through, then transfer to a large bowl. Add carrot and onions and mix well. In a small bowl, whip the coleslaw dressing, adding lemon juice to taste and thinning with a little cold water. Stir dressing through the salad, and chopped parsley!

My Experience At the Worship and Music Camp

My Experience At the Worship and Music Camp I was excited that our church was going to organize a Worship and Music Camp for the first time. The camp was for three days from 8th – 10th June and it would also be the first time that I would be away from my parents alone with friends. My aunties teased my mother that she was suffering from separation anxiety attack! On the 1st day we all met in church at 7.30 a.m. and sang a few songs with a closing prayer from Pastor James. Then we all headed for Palm Beach Resort in Sematan and arrived there about 9.30 am. Upon arrival, Aunty Winnie gave us all a briefing about the camp rules, distributed our room keys and the people who would bunk with us. My room mates were Hannah, Shannon and Sarah. After we were given our room key, we went to wash up before eating our lunch at the Cafeteria which served good food. After that, we started attending the seminars by Dr.Yap, Ms Wong, Aunty Alma and Uncle Tracy. The seminars for the two days were very good and they taught me a lot of things. All choir members were given vocal training and also practiced the songs for the Thursday prayer meet. Dr Yap advised us that we must worship in spirit and in truth. Ms Wong taught us the proper way to sing. Aunty Alma and Uncle Tracy taught us how to lead praise and worship in church. These seminars really inspired me how to be more Godly. In the evenings, we usually headed for the beach. We played frisbee, collected sea shells, and went kayaking. The kayak kept turning upside down so much that we ended up laughing at ourselves. We really had fun on the beach except for the sand fly bites. Horrors ... we discovered bed bugs in our pillows and blankets! I itched so much that I did not sleep well for the two nights. Still, I managed to wake up early to queue for the toilet as there were morning devotions at 7am. It was a very good experience for me and I want to thank all the aunties and uncles who put so much effort into organising this camp. Most of all, I want to thank God that he gave us a good time in the camp and brought us safely back. I am looking forward to the next camp!

Amazing grace

God will make a way, where there seems to be no way, he works in ways, we cannot see, he will make a way for me, he will be my guide, hold of closely to his side, with love and strength for each new day. He will make a way, he will make a way. Indeed God will make a way.

Book

Today I was so shocked when Serena said "Janna, this is ur English book". I looked at her for a moment. I asked her where did she see my book. She said that it's on the self behind the English room and so I told her I lost it and how could it be there. I think someone must have played a trick on me. I'm very upset.........

Science

Last night I went for Science tuition. Even though I am not in National already I still continue. The topic last night was Chapter 6: Land and its resource. It's quite hard and confusing.
