I thank God for answering my prayers. In school there is a boy who always bully me and make up lots of stories about me until i couldn't stand it. So I Pray to God:

Jesus,Beautiful Saviour
Jesus Beautiful Saviour:
God of all majesty,
Risen king,
Lamb of god,
Holy and righteous,
Blessed redeemer,
Bright morning star
All the heavens shout your praise,
All creation bow to worship you
How wonderful, how beautiful,
Name above every name, exalted high
How wonderful, how beautiful,
Jesus your name, name above every name, jesus
I will sing forever, jesus i love you, jesus i love you

Here are the tips that Don Moen gave to us:
Firstly, tips on songwriting:
1. What Makes a Great Song?
a. Memorable melody/lyrics
b. Good "hook"
1. Words that define "hook" would be:
a] Catchy
b] Truth
c] Emotional
d] Accessible
e] Original
f] Universal theme
C. Examples:
1. Lord I Lift Your Name On High
a. Hook is the "gospel'
2. Open The Eyes Of My Heart
a. A universal prayer
3. Shout To The Lord
a. Scripture
b. Melody is "rangy"
2. How to Write:
a) Get your thoughts out of your heart onto paper, tape of hard disk.
a. Don't worry about rhymes at this point/ editing
b) Think of what you want to say to God
a. Write it down. State it simply
i) Examples: I Love You Lord
I worship You
I want To Be Where You Are
Thank You Lord
b. Sit in an empty church
i) What lyrics comes to mind?
ii) What do you feel you want to say?
c. Take advantage of great teaching
a) Great teaching will stir up Your gift
i) Hillsong
ii) Read great books like The Bible!
d. Keep a journal
a] Write down your random thoughts and prayers
e. spend time working on your craft
a] Nashville is a good example of people devoted to the craft of
song writing
3. How To Make A Good Song Into A Great Song
a) Write the song 3 different ways:
a. Don't settle for the first thing
b. Sing it the way you'd say it
c. Try your song out on some friends, your choir director or church
Example: Fresh Fire- Took months to compose
i) Listen to what they say!
d. Watch the response of people
e. Make changes where necessary. Let your audience help you write
- able to learn from mistakes
- get their opinions
B. Keep Writing!!! [rewrite/ match music]
Worship Leadership:
Five questions I always ask:
1. Who is the Audience ?
a) Men's bible study
b) conference [special music]
c) Youth group
d) Traditional or contemporary
1. The important thing is to remember to be yourself in every situation.
[God anoint who we are]
****
- understand your audience
- gain the trust of audience
- If you are confrontable, then the audience will be. Don't be affected
by appearance.
2. How much Time Do I Have?
a) 10 minutes? 30 minutes?
b) Respect your time limit
- Serve the pastors, not what we want to do, serve the community!
- Given 10 minutes use 9 minutes
- Don't go over your limits
3. What are The Expectations of the Organizers ?
a) Transition music between speakers ?
- Example: How Great Is Our God: sing in key of C is too low so sing in
key of G
b) Deep time of worship, allowing time for the Holy Spirit to move ?
4. What are My Expectations ?
a. Psalm 22:3.... God inhabits our praise !
- In whatever situation, 9 or 2000 people turn up, GOD will come.
5. What Are God's Expectations ?
a) With every opportunity to lead worship, God has a purpose and plan
b) Find out what it is !
1. Fellowship with His creation
2. Worship is a dialogue, not a monologue. Give God a chance to
speak.
**
- When everything goes wrong, someone came and it's a powerful night. - - It's all about God, not us.
- Without God's presence there is nothing!
3. Salvation, healing, deliverance, provision, etc. All these things should
happen as a result of being in God's presence!
Creating a Flow In Worship Service:
Lead People to come into God's presence/ God will do rest
1. Where to Begin ?
a) Many people assume the pattern is to start fast and end slow.
b) Psalm 100:4 tells us to "Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His
courts with Praise".
c) This doesn't dictate tempos, but a certain attitude of the heart.
***
Worship is when God is touching people's heart
He does not lead but He let us participate in His Plans
"God, what do you want me to do?"
2. Worship is More Than Music
a) What is Worship?
1. Prayer, testimony, preaching, serving, encouraging, giving, lifestyle
b) The "liturgy" of praise and worship:
1. Does your congregation know what's going to happen next?
c) Try shaking it up !
1. Work with your pastor's on this = Sermon + Worship
3. Anticipate How a Song Ends
a) What kind of mood is it setting ? [the tempo]
b) How does the next song begins ?
c) Make transitions as smooth as possible -Key of C to G
1. A good bus driver doesn't make any quick moves. No abrupt turns
d) Tempos and Keys
1. Make sure they work for the audience !
Eg. Right song but wrong key
4. Allow the Holy Spirit to Move:
- worship through your rehearsal
a) Follow His lead........ listen
b) Move on after waiting..........
5. Don't finish In The Flesh What God Began In The Spirit [doesn't get to
the point where God "fine" you for worship]
A. Amos 5:21-24

Do not live in fear of Man
